"Caring is what we do best" is exactly what Dr. Lori Baldwin and the staff at Compassion Veterinary Hospital do for their patient's and family members. There are so many positive stories I could share, but I will share the one closest to my heart. We were struggling with the sudden illness of our beloved chocolate lab, Coco. She was being cared for in an ICU and her health was rapidly declining. I called Dr. Lori for support and guidance. She went above and beyond for me, answered my questions, offered a shoulder to cry on, and in the end, helped us to help our precious pet pass peacefully. She created a setting that a lab would appreciate, under a beautiful tree beside water, with Coco's family surrounding her. She allowed us all the time we needed to say goodbye, and when we were ready she helped stop our Coco's suffering. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Lori for her gentle compassionate nature and appreciate her ability to practice the art of veterinary medicine so beautifully. I highly recommend this team of caring professionals!

Compassion is a great name for this animal hospital! I started going there in August of 2012 and have always been treated really kindly by the staff. Dr. Richter is the best and you can tell she really cares about my pets. I like that she remembers me and my dogs and I don't feel like a stranger when I go in. I also love that she offers different treatments like cold laser and chiropratics. My old shepherd has trouble getting up and down now and Dr. Richter has given her a new lease on life. I highly recommend!!

Our dog is a fairly new patient however so far we are really liking this vet. The office did charge a fee for a test we didn't have done however they fixed the issue. Their website also states they do acupuncture but it's more of cold laser. However, so far Dr. Richter has been wonderful, not only is she great with dogs but she spent alot of time with us during our first appointment going over all of the health, potential natural ways to help our dog as well as backups with western medicine if need be. We feel very comfortable bringing him here and highly recommend the practice especially for people who like a vet who is happy to explore natural healing methods.

Having had all kinds of animals (mostly dogs) my entire life (50+ years) I have had experience with a number of veterinarians. I lived in Massachusetts until 12 years ago when I moved to New Hampshire. With the exception of the excellent doctors at the emergency clinic in Concord, I have had three different vets in the area I live in. Far and away, Compassion Vet has been the best. The facility is meticulously clean, the support staff is attentive and conscientious, the techs are knowledgeable and kind and Dr. Diane is one of a kind. She is caring, compassionate, supportive, not only towards her animal clients, but their owners as well. She an excellent veterinarian and though I will shortly be moving back to Massachusetts, I will continue to come back to Compassion for annual physicals and vaccines for my dogs. I understand there is also another vet, new to the staff, who I have not met, but have heard she is terrific as well.

Horrible experience. I brought in a stray that I had mistaken for my cat that disappeared two years ago - very hopeful. Never met the vet but the vet tech and secretary had no compassion. In fact they seem to have thought it quite amusing. Also, appointment lasted about 10 minutes, including an xray and cost me $150. In the end they told me to take the stray back to wherever I found it and move on.
